Client: PBS Education
Project Title: Count-On-It - Math Is Everywhere
Project Description: In 2005, PBS Kids was preparing to launch a new K–12 learning program. As a summer intern, I was asked to prototype a potential educational game inspired by one of their series, Count-On-It—a show that highlights real-world math problems in everyday situations.
The illustration above represents the game’s user interface created by me. The concept allowed children to click on different icons to access a variety of math-based activities aligned with their grade level. For example, selecting the French fries icon opened a restaurant-themed game where learners calculated the total cost of meal orders. Each icon introduced a unique scenario designed to make math both practical and fun.
My Role: Curriculum Designer and Graphic Design
Tools: Adobe Illustrator, Macromedia Flash
Deliverables: Storyboard, Product mock-up, game process map, game curriculum for grades 1 to 5.

This storyboard illustrates the design of the game, which was developed using Adobe Flash and JavaScript. The project was originally intended for distribution both on CD-ROM and through the PBS Education website, making it accessible to classrooms and learners nationwide.
